A day excursion to the Gamtoos river and wacky woods river side resort, a relaxing and scenic trip to switch off from the rat race. We highly recommend enjoying our South African braai and relaxing before heading out on the kayaks and rowing up the river at sunset. The Golden hour on the Gamtoos river is something special, there’s amazing mountain views and birdlife, so if your into birding this is a great opportunity for you to tick the box. The Gamtoos is a saltwater river with no rapids which is safe for all ages and ability’s.

On the premises there’s a nice Lapa/pool area that overlooks the Gamtoos River and the valley below, providing shade and seating, perfect for enjoying lunch and a refreshing swim or if you would like to make the most of the river, bring a blanket, cooler and some snacks and enjoy the braai on the rivers edge, you can swim, take in the view and have a good time while your guide cooks up some food!

Storms River mouth Waterfall Hike and susepension bridge walk

Bring your hiking shoes and join us to the Storms River Nature Reserve in the heart of the Garden route! Only a hour outside of Jeffreys Bay, this is a perfect escape to see something different and get out of town.

The Storms river reserve is naturally magical, there’s views of the wild southern ocean, forest and costal beauty to be had. Together we hike along the rocky coastline, through indigenous forest to a large waterfall that plumets down right next to the ocean. Normally this the perfect time to have a swim and light lunch while taking in the view.

Once we hike back to the start we can drive a short stretch and walk over the storms river mouth suspension bridges, this is more of a touristic attraction, but if its your first time its enjoyable. There’s a restaurant in the park if your up for having a meal or some drinks before heading back.

J Bay - Cape st Francis surf Safari

Surf and explore the endless surf breaks between Jeffreys Bay and seal point with a local surfer, born and raised in Jeffreys Bay.

If your a surfer that’s in the area and looking to gain some local knowledge and find out all the ins and outs this the perfect trip for you. Weather you want to hang ten, rip a beach break or carve down the line of a point break we will find the waves for you and surf the best break of the day together. While surfing if you needing some coaching or help working on your positioning in the lineup we got you.

Cape St Francis Lighthouse point is the most South Eastern point of South Africa and definitely worth checking out, usually ending the day, stopping off at St. Francis Bay brewery, for a delicious burger and a locally crafted beer before heading back to J Bay. Surf stoke guaranteed!

Addo Elephant Park Safari & braai in the park

Duration: Full day

Head to the Addo Elephant national park for a unique full day safari experience and the chance to see African Elephants, buffalo, lions, warthog and various other wildlife.

On route we stop at a local cafe were you can top up your coffee or grab a light lunch and snacks for the day. After check in we do a 2 hour game drive stopping at spekboom hideout were we walk on foot through the bushveld and view wildlife from a enclosed area. Stopping at jacks picnic site you can enjoy our optional extra South African braai and find some shade.

On route back to the South Gate we do another 2 hour game drive taking you off the beaten track route, were you can see some of the parks untouched landscapes and scenery.

We offer a pickup and drop off service from Jeffreys bay and Port Elizabeth, which makes it extra convenient for you.

Ocean safari / in-shore fishing with a local captain

Join a local Captain and fisherman raised in Jeffreys bay on a half day fishing trip on “Jolene”.

Benjamin is a great fishing guide and guarantees to put you on the fish! Learn how to launch and operate “Johlene” and gain valuable ocean and local fishing knowledge. Depending on the time of year, water temperature and talk around town, we decide what fish to target on the day. Using various fishing methods like trawling, spinning, bottom fishing and using live bait. Often viewing seals, bird life, dolphins, bait balls and occasionally whales on route. If we spot them, we do take the time to go view them and take some photos. Keep your catch of the day & enjoy a lovely meal, with your family and friends. After returning to the harbor, you can enjoy calamari burger and a beer at the key side pub at the Port St Francis harbor before heading back to J Bay. Join Benjamin, for a once off inshore fishing and ocean experience!
